XROBOT Academy Welcomes the First Members of the Founding Twelve

SEP 13, 2026

Within its first week of opening, XROBOT Academy welcomed Founding Members 001 and 002—marking the beginning of a long-term journey in robotics, AI, aerospace and engineering.

XROBOT Academy Welcomes the First Members of the Founding Twelve

Less than one week after officially opening its doors, XROBOT Academy is honoured to welcome the first two members of the XROBOT Founding Twelve: Founding Members 001 and 002.

The Founding Twelve is a once-only, invitation-only program created for twelve young learners and their families who share XROBOT’s long-term vision for robotics, artificial intelligence, aerospace and advanced engineering.

It is not a standard course package or a publicly available membership. Each place represents a long-term commitment between XROBOT Academy, the student and their family—to explore, build, compete and grow together through an evolving pathway of technology education and real-world engineering experiences.

From robotics foundations and artificial intelligence to VEX competitions, Drone Soccer, advanced robotic systems and future XROBOT LAB projects, the Founding Twelve will grow alongside the Academy and help shape its community, culture and ambitions from the very beginning.

The Fifth Solvay Conference, Brussels, 1927.

Among those pictured are Albert Einstein, Marie Curie, Niels Bohr, Erwin Schrödinger and Werner Heisenberg. This historic photograph is presented as a reflection on the enduring power of scientific curiosity, courage and collaboration.

Nearly a century ago, the Fifth Solvay Conference brought together an extraordinary generation of scientists whose ideas transformed humanity’s understanding of the world.

Their achievements did not begin in that photograph. They began much earlier—with curiosity, difficult questions, sustained learning, experimentation, failure and the courage to explore what others had not yet understood.

XROBOT does not know where each young person’s journey will ultimately lead. But we believe extraordinary futures can begin when curiosity is taken seriously, talent is given time to develop, and young people are surrounded by the tools, challenges and encouragement needed to turn ideas into reality.

Our ambition for the Founding Twelve extends far beyond the completion of individual courses. Over the next twenty years, we hope to help twelve young people develop into capable scientists, engineers, innovators and technology entrepreneurs—people who can create new systems, solve meaningful problems and contribute to the future of Australia and the wider world.

Welcoming Founding Members 001 and 002 is therefore more than an enrolment milestone. It marks the beginning of XROBOT’s founding generation and represents the trust placed in us at the very beginning of our journey.

We are deeply grateful to our first founding family for believing in what XROBOT is building. Their support, courage and trust will always remain part of the Academy’s history.

Twelve young people. Twelve long-term journeys. One founding generation.

From Australia to the world.
